Bruce Burke
is a veteran marketing executive with more than 20
years experience in the industry and a
pioneer in applying brand-marketing disciplines to
professional sports.
Burke is recognized for his efforts in
launching team, league and event branding
initiatives at the very highest level of pro-sports,
demonstrated in creating lucrative business
opportunities for sports marketers and sponsors
alike, branding elite professional
sports organizations and national brands including,
the NHL, NFL, MLS, USTA,
the US Open Tennis Grand
Slam, Heineken, and SoBe.
Burke served as the NFL’s
VP, Advertising and Brand-Marketing
for 12 years,
where he launched and led the NFL’s
in-house advertising and design division to support
the league’s
diverse
corporate branding initiatives, contributing to the
game’s
unparalleled popularity and immensely profitable
multi-billion
dollar enterprise. His accomplishments remain
visible on the NFL’s
playing fields and game broadcasts
today as 14 NFL team identities were conceived under
his direction. Burke was also instrumental in the
launch of The NFL Experience, the NFL’s
fan interactive traveling theme park constructed
each year at the Super
Bowl’s
host city, Super Bowl branding initiatives, and
served as executive producer of many NFL live
events
and productions.
